Chapter 1[]

Outside[]

Lacie arrives home, feeling tired after the mishap at the cafeteria and decides to go to her room and lie down in bed for a moment. But before that, she notices a crow sitting on a fence that doesn't seem bothered by her presence. Lacie wonders if the crow is waiting for food, noticing a birdhouse nearby where she can fill the bowl with bird food for them.

There is a garage exit, and a front porch that leads directly to the yard.

First Floor[]

Behind the front door is a hallway connected to a long corridor.

At the end of the corridor there are two left rooms, going into the first one enters into the kitchen. There's a note from Lacie's mother on the table, informing her that her dad and she will return on Monday. The note mentions that there's food in the fridge that can be heated up. She also provides her contact number (195)-224#1 in case of any problems. Lacie can use the phone cord to call her relatives or finalize preparations for a ritual. When she calls her mom to check in, her mom is busy but promises to call her back later. In the garage room, there is a can of red paint that she can use to paint a red eye symbol at the front door.

The next room is a toilet, with a bathtub, and fixtures.

In the left room of the house, there is a living room with a TV, dinner table, and closets, which contain a red marker. Lacie can watch the cats on the TV while relaxing on the couch. She mentions that Hiro used to sleep on the longest couch, while she sits on a smaller one. The door in the hallway leading to the laundry room is locked, and Lacie questions why all the doors in the house need to be locked. She mentions that Hiro has the key to the laundry room, but she doesn't have any need to access it.

There is a door leading outside to the yard, where Hiro is sitting on a bench and reading a book.

Second Floor[]

When Lacie goes up to the second floor, Hiro, Lacie's brother, opens the door and expresses how proud he is of her progress. He encourages her to go to the market, return to school, and make new friends, but Lacie downplays her achievements, revealing a mishap at the cafe. She acknowledges that she needs to address the root of her problem first. Hiro offers to support her and gives her a pat on the head before heading outside.

This floor had corridor with three doors. The left door leads to the parents' room, which includes a computer, a bed, an open closet, and a computer with Lacie claiming hers is better. On the table next to the bed, there is a red thread from the mother's sewing kit, which is meant to be used to tie a bow on the phone cord.

The next door should lead to Hiro's room, but Lacie is hesitant to enter. The door after that is also locked.

In the continuation of the corridor, there are two more rooms. with a small reading room at the end. In one room is a bathroom, while the other belongs to Lacie.

In the cutscene, Lacie, feeling overwhelmed and questioning the difficulty of life, decides to nap but realizes she has tasks to do. Picking up a golden envelope that has just arrived, she mentions how some people on the forums waited forever for mounts that never came, yet she received hers in just a day. She acknowledges that this may not be her first experience with rituals, but it is her first intentional journey into the spiritual realm. Lacie mentions she needs to tie a red ribbon to her phone, paint some symbols on the front door, find a red ribbon for the phone, and a marker or paint for the door, emphasizing that everything needs to be done before sunset. As she wraps up, she remarks that it probably won't be as easy as she initially thought.

Lacie's room contains a bed, an electronic clock, shelves, a computer that is always on, a cozy nook by the window, a game console, a closet with a snow globe, a Tamagotchi, a notebook, and a rune. There is also cooking salt in the room, along with a red ribbon.

In the cutscene, Lacie sees Hiro reading a book on a bench and he shares a poem about counting magpies to determine fate. Lacie jokes about believing in chocolate eclairs instead of fate, while Hiro expresses belief in Lacie and her dreams, encouraging her to believe in them as well.

After finishing setting up the ritual, Lacie reassures Hiro she will be fine despite his concerns. She asks him to stay out of the house for the night for precaution, which he agrees to since he had plans to be out late. As Lacie leaves, she regrets not saying a proper goodbye to Hiro and wonders why she mentioned seeing him tomorrow.

Nighttime[]

At nighttime, Lacie wakes up from a dream and is required to call the number 999281#0. The lights in her room are not working and mysterious bloody footprints begin to appear. Upon dialing the number, she must say "My bus is late" and then has 20 seconds to reach her bus. If she fails, she will reach a Dead End 1-2.

Notes/Trivia[]

  • In the demo version, there was bird food in the kitchen. However, in the 1.1 version, Lacie already has the bird food with her, allowing her to fill the food in the birdhouse directly without the need to go to the kitchen to retrieve it.
  • On the table next to the bed is a red thread from the mother's sewing kit that perfectly matches Lacie's scarf. This may suggest that Lacie's mother once had a positive relationship with her, making the scarf for her when she was younger. However, over time, it seems that she become neglectful, causing a rift in their relationship with her.
