In Chapter 1, Lilith is mentioned several times with potential ties to Lacie. Although the specifics of their relationship are not fully explored, it is suggested that it hold some importance in the story.

Chapter 1[]
The smell[]
Rune[]
Rune says that Lacie smells like someone very bad, likely Lilith, but it is considered bad luck to talk about it for 1000 years.
Kett[]
Kett tells Lacie she smells like garbage, suggesting Lilith's aura is unpleasant.
Miss Knives[]
Miss Knives upon smelling Lilith's scent, mistakes Lacie for Lilith and becomes enraged, yelling at Lacie to get out, eventually capturing Lacie and Sai. In a final confrontation, Miss Knives continues to address Lacie as if she were Lilith, expressing a desire for peace and blaming her for ruining everything, ultimately attacking Lacie in a fit of rage.
Aura[]
The Prisoner[]
The Prisoner notices that Lacie has a strange aura and believes she is a human. This could mean that he is not familiar with Lilith but he implies that she may require Red's assistance in lifting a curse that she is under.
Sai[]
After revealing her past and the potential cause of her ridicule, Lacie questions Sai about his feelings towards her curse as she noticed his behavior towards her was different. Sai, upon examining Lacie, mentions her "weird ominous aura" that feels dangerous, but assures her it doesn't bother him and he actually felt worse. Lacie is left confused by his response.
Meeting 221[]
In the meeting room of the facility, a cloak rests on an empty chair, which presumably belongs to Lilith. The pockets contain notes of Meeting 221 which suggests "members" were not happy with Lilith and potentially oust her from the council. Lacie can put on the coat, which is too big for her, though she mentions that it's cozy before passing out from sensory overload. During which time, she receives what are presumably flashbacks from Lilith's past, which suggests Lilith's colleagues took a violent approach to ousting her, removing one of her hands in the process.

Trivia/Notes[]
- In the demo version, Lacie shows empathy towards Miss Knives in her napkin form, understanding her tragic past. She clarifies that she is not Lilith, and although she doesn't know who Lilith is, she hopes Miss Knives doesn't suffer because of her. However, in the 1.1 version, the dialogue about Lilith is not mentioned.
- On July, 2024, Leef 6010 announced on Twitter that they are hosting their first popularity poll for Paper Lily characters, including Project Kat, where people can vote for up to two characters. The poll will close once enough votes are collected, and a drawing will be created based on the results. Interestingly, Lilith wasn't included in the poll.
